I can’t find invisible zippers in robe lengths, 35″ locally – can anyone help with a mail order source. these long babies are used in ready to wear all the time – why can’t we find them?

    Hi, Sylvia.

We have acquired white and black units in 32 inch lengths from http://www.zippersplus.com

Also, talk to Darlene at http://www.zipperconnection.com She succeeded in finding us 60 inch long #3 nylon coil seperating zippers for some "playwear" we make (we had to buy 100, but the price was excellent)

*Hi, Sylvia. We have acquired white and black #2CC units in 32 inch lengths from http://www.zippersplus.com in the past. Also, talk to Darlene at http://www.zipperconnection.com She succeeded in finding us 60 inch long #3 nylon coil seperating zippers for some "playwear" we make (we had to buy 100, but the price was excellent, and that was how many we wanted anyway) She has a company in California that makes special orders like that, over 400 colors, but there is that 100 piece minimum on pre-made units. Only catch- you pay BEFORE she orders- turns out a few people have burned her with "Oh, yes, I must have them ASAP" that turned into "Well, I guess I don't really want them anymore". Our stuff took 2 days from Ca. to her in Mi., and another 2 days from her to us. She also has the best price we've found on the "crystal zippers". Really interesting lady, and a home-based business person (like me) as well. Also, believe it or not, I once Emailed YKK asking to buy 20 meters or so of their #3CC (concealed coil- invisible) and approx 2 dozen sliders for some zip-thru catsuits we were making for a few "dancers" we do custom work for. Never heard back by Email- BUT I had included my home address in my Email, and guess what showed up a week later- a box with 50 meters of the long chain and approx 50 sliders- AND NO BILL!!! I could not believe it. They have a reputation for being all hard to deal with, unless you are buying 10 thousand units of one color. But they sure helped us out.Your best bet may be to buy the long chain and the sliders in the colors you want, and make them up yourself. The trick with the concealed coil zippers is that the ends are ultrasonically welded- hence no little metal clips to show. What we do is use a really hot iron to melt the ends just so. It takes a little practice, but it works well. Plus, we've made up some really nifty 3, 4 and 5 slide invisible units for some of our other "playwear" designs. Thanks, YKK.Good luck. If you talk to Darlene, tell her I said "hi".
