Every time I acquire an old Threads mag from eBay, I go to the Taunton web site and download the Table of Contents so I can do a topic search from my computer when I want to consult my “library.” Does anyone out there do the same and if so, do you have the Table of Contents for issues 66 and 68? They don’t appear on the web site, and Threads has not uploaded them for some reason, though I asked. I’d sure appreciate it if you could include them in a posting… Thanks, with hope!

Actually, it is better to go right to the Index on the Threads site as the same item may be listed under more than one heading and I have found it is easier to find what I am looking for.
I think we're talking about the same thing, it's just that I copy it to my computer. The problem is that the information for those two issues (maybe others?) is not on the index site, just a sentence that says "this issue no longer available." Well, I knew that! I just want to be able to access the table of contents/index like I have with dozens of other Threads issues. I'm tired of asking the magazine to fix it, they say yes and then don't do anything. So I'm hoping some kindred soul out there has copied those pages a long time ago and can share.
I think we are talking of two different things: the table of contents remain the same, the index is updated with each issue, tells you the issue number and page number. You will find items in the index that are not listed in the "table of contents", and often there are multiple directions to the same thing as in listing under "collars" and also maybe under "facing, collars" and so on.

On the lefthand side of the Threads home page, scroll down until you see "Index", click on that and a search bar opens, plus an alphabet. You can use the search bar or the alphabet to look for what you want.
Just use any keyword search, example, 'pigment' and the list of magazines that have the article related to your keyword search will lead you to the issue
Look at the URL http://www.taunton.com/cgi-bin/artresult-th.cgi and after the keyword search http://www.taunton.com/back-issues/th_toc_003.asp
Hi Usersuz - you can go to this site:

and pull up each issue by issue number. I think this may get you the info you need and may eliminate the need to do your own cataloging.

Thank you so much! That worked like a charm. You see, I don't want to maintain indexes on all Threads' issues, because I don't have all of them; I just want to maintain indexes on the ones I have, so I can actually pull the issue and get what I'm looking for. Nothing so frustrating as going to the web site, searching for, say, altering pants, and getting the perfect response listed in an issue I don't own (yet). I bookmarked this site so if it happens again, I'll know where to get it. Thanks again.
