"PHOENIX SKIRT" help – I l…

Oops – I started making The Sewing Workshop Phoenix skirt, put the project aside for awhile, and lost the instructions. Anyone out there made this skirt? I’m making this in a suit weight linen. I’ve already attached the side panels, but have not yet sewn the side seems. My question is this: Do the instructions recommend attaching the front and back facings before or after the side seems are sewn? Is it recommended that the facings be interfaced? It really is a simple pattern, but I’m a “plodder” at sewing. Thanks for your help. Carolyn

*Next, make the ties. Turn. Edgestitch them.Pin ties on, then with right sides togther, sew fronts and backs together at sides.Interface waistband front and back. With right sides together, make the front and the back waistband sections (like bibs!). Turn them and edgestitch.Baste front bib and back bib in place facing down from top edges on right sides of Front and back. Sew along top sides of skirt tomake the "Tab" extensions at sides.Interface facing pieces, sew together at sides, then sew into remaining top skirt opening.Trim, turn and edgestitch remaining edges. Make butonholes and buttons.Turn up hem and topstitch....Have fun!Claire
