In the General Instructions I listed one of my Oct. Challenges was to study Threads Magazine article on sewing fur and an article on faux fur.

In Threads Magazine, January 1995, Number 56 there is an article starting on pg. 60 that talks about in illustrates making a wonderful hat for winter of leather w/fur trim.  I want to make this hat w/the red fox fur I have.  This is what I'm studying, while looking for the perfect leather to use for the base of the hat. 

The Threads Mag. March 2007, Number 129 discusses and demonstrates how to sew w/faux fur, pricing good faux fur and everything.  I used the advice in this magazine to sew my two faux fur coats last year.  I have some faux fur yardage waiting for this winter in the wings, and I pulled this book and stashed it with the material so I can find it when I'm ready.
